By request! This 3-hour introduction to academic success is for our college students who need to learn advanced study skills as well as receive help staying on track through their school terms. New students will receive a copy of Jan’s The CEO of Self: An Executive Functioning Workbook, which will be used to teach higher order EF skills needed to be successful in college. We will also go over pragmatics such as group work, reading a syllabus and copying important dates to calendars, talking to professors, asking for accommodations, and breaking down large tasks.
Students who take this class can access our Study Hall hours as part of the cost of the class. Views Study Hall dates and times on our calendar. Once students have mastered these skills, they may attend Study Hall on an ‘a la carte’ basis, each term.
