PEERS® Social Skills – Youth (Hybrid Options)

Date(s) - 03/02/2022
6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

By popular demand, EvoLibri is again offering the PEERS® Social Skills training for youth (ages 12-14) with options to attend in person (masks required) or remotely via Zoom!

The Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®) was originally developed at UCLA by Dr. Elizabeth Laugeson, Founder and Director of the UCLA PEERS® Clinic, and Dr. Fred Frankel in 2005 and has expanded to locations across the United States and the world. This evidence-based program was specifically designed for teens and young adults and focuses on the typical interactions these students have with their peers. We love this curricula because it is ‘real’ – how to informally greet someone with a “S’up?”, how to tell jokes, how to enter and leave a conversation, and much more. Using face-to-face practice sessions, along with texting and group chat, it teaches ‘real’ conversational social skills as opposed to ‘text book social skills’ – i.e., how young people actually interact.

The course is 14 weeks long, and has a parent component to scaffold the work the students are doing. The parent component will be conducted via Zoom, making it easier for busy parents to attend sessions, or view sessions at a later date if they miss. We also invite students to participate in our EvoClubs, free of charge during the duration of their PEERS® enrollment.

Pre-registration is required! Please download a registration form here, or contact our Intake Coordinator at
