Please welcome Taz to the Evo Libri team! In the spring of 2015, Central Coast Pug Rescue found this handsome gent living on the streets of Fresno and was soon adopted by our very own Cynthia Haartman, M.F.T. His foster mom at Central Coast Pug Rescue named him Taz after the Tasmanian Devil cartoon character, and after a few minutes of hearing him “talk”, you’ll soon understand why! (He believes in letting us all know exactly what he’s thinking!)
Taz became a registered therapy animal in 2016 and passes on his good fortune by helping others. A truly gentle soul, Taz loves to cuddle
and be pet. Give him a gentle scratch, a treat, or play him some Christmas music, and you’ve got a friend for life!
Favorite Treats: Chicken, cheese, and anything peanut butter Best Tricks: Wait, a high-five (for treats, of course)
Favorite Places: Butcher Park dog park, the car, dinner at Brown Chicken/Brown Cow, mom’s bed
Loves to be pet: behind the ears, under the collar, chest rubs
Comedy movie junkie, lousy recipe-follower, and named “jump rope queen” in first grade! – in case any of that becomes relevant. Cynthia’s passion for helping others began at a young age and blossomed while earning her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology at John F. Kennedy University. She has a background working individually with clients, in group settings, and in residential care. She also has a psychotherapy private practice and has trained her stubborn little pug, Taz, to work alongside her as a registered therapy dog.
When not working, she can be found with her pug at the dog park, grilling outside with her husband, in a yoga studio, or playing games with her family. She loves games; her grandfather taught her to play poker as soon as she could count and hold a hand of cards independently. And if all else fails, she will be watching old reruns of comedy sitcoms, on the couch, with a pint of Ben & Jerry’s Cherry Garcia Non-Dairy ice cream (that pesky dairy sensitivity!) We are happy to have her aboard!

Originally from Austria, Helen moved to the United States in 2009 after spending the better part of her college and early professional years working and studying across France, Belgium, Thailand, Ireland and Australia. After spending the first 15 years of her career in the corporate and non-profit fields, she decided to turn her curiosity about the human psychology into a profession. She has a Masters in Psychology from Harvard University and a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Palo Alto University.
At Evo Libri, Helen enjoys supporting and empowering neurodiverse individuals and their families. She believes in a strength-based approach to mental health that fosters acceptance and compassion and provides individuals with the support and tools they need to thrive.

Teresa is a queer, AuDHD, disabled clinician (supervised by Angelique Bagley LMFT 73081). Their clinical approach is influenced by the neurodiversity-affirming movement, fat liberation, somatics, and disability justice. They have worked in school-based mental health and private practice, and enjoy supporting folks across the lifespan with anxiety, emotional regulation, and self- acceptance. Teresa completed a B.S. in Psychology at UC Davis and an M.S. in Counseling at Cal State East Bay. During her Master’s program, Teresa received training in both therapy and
assessment and is skilled in both psychoeducational/diagnostic evaluation and mental health counseling. Unfortunately, exactly 0% of her training was neurodiversity affirming; in true Autistic fashion, post-graduation, Teresa fell down the neurodivergence rabbit hole and found herself a new passion (and a lot of information about her own brain style).
Teresa has experienced first-hand the power of connecting with other neurodivergent humans and is passionate about creating an environment where clients can speak and move as themselves without fear of judgment. Their style has been described as warm, nonjudgmental, and collaborative. Teresa is not afraid to embrace both the hard parts and the lighthearted parts of therapy, and her overall goal as a therapist is to walk alongside clients on their therapy journey. Outside of work, Teresa recharges by reading, singing, playing games, and spending time with family and friends. Their favorite animals are cats, horses, lions, and orcas (in that order).
